Gröna Lund is Stockholms celebrated amusement park, situated on the central island of Djurgården. It offers thrilling rides and compelling arcade machines to scare, trill and entertain you. Having opened its doors during the 19th century makes it Swedens oldest amusement park.
Feel and live a fall of 80 meters
For the daring kind Gröna Lund features thrills such as Jetline, Fritt Fall (Free Fall) and Extreme. With a height of 80 meters (262ft) Fritt Fall is one of the highest free fall attraction in Scandinavia. You’ll fall for about 2.5 seconds and reach speeds up to 119km/h (73mph!).
Insane
Gröna Lund has promised 75 seconds of insanity for their new ride called Insane. The ride is scheduled to open on the 25th of April 2009. It is said to feature speeds up to 60km/h and 3,5G.
